The Emerging Artists Pop-up Art Gallery brought together a diverse group of contemporary student artists for a one-day exhibition at Lowell School in Grand Junction. Featuring painting, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media work, the exhibition highlighted a wide range of artistic approaches and emerging creative voices from the Western Colorado art community. The event created an accessible space for artists and viewers to connect directly while celebrating experimentation, collaboration, and the development of contemporary art practices within the region.

2026 Colorado Mesa University (CMU) Student Showcase
Friday, May 1, 2026
As part of the 2026 Colorado Mesa University Student Showcase in Grand Junction, Colorado, contemporary Colorado artist Farron Khan collaborated with a poet and graphic designer to develop artwork that visually harmonized with the written poetry. The project explored the relationship between image, language, and design through a series of works that translated poetic themes into fragmented visual forms, symbolism, and layered compositions. By combining contemporary painting and print-inspired aesthetics with collaborative storytelling, the project emphasized how visual art and poetry can work together to create a unified emotional and conceptual experience. This effort culminated in Sultan of Krylon, which can be found here: https://www.farronkhan.com/oilandprint/p/sultan-of-krylon
